HUMAN LIFE

The two chapters Human Life and Life is Sacred describe when human life begins from the viewpoints of science and theology.  Evidence in support of the sacredness of human life and the immorality of abortion is presented from the the Old Testament, from the New Testament, from the early Church Fathers, from Tradition, as well as from the Catechism.  It is evident that a baby is just as much a baby before birth as he or she is after birth, so to kill him or her before birth is wrong both from the scientific as well as from the theological point of view. Well established data from science are evaluated and utilized to support this conclusion.

The mathematical formalism of Catastrophe Theory is explained and then applied to some human life questions in the next two chapters listed on the sidebar.  These correspond to two articles that were written during the 1980’s when Catastrophe Theory was in vogue.  This theory is no longer of current interest, and the articles represent the webmaster’s thinking two decades ago.

More chapters in this subject area are planned, and they will be posted on this website page in the future.
